Recognition of Arabic handwritings
In this focus area, segment-based methods for automatic recognition of Arabic handwriting were used. For this purpose, a combination of methods of pre-processing, segmentation, recognition, and post-processing was applied. Based on the 50,000 most common Arabic words, errors were also detected and corrected.
